2023 FISHING DERBY

The ANNUAL IBEW Fishing Derby for 2023 was held on June 9, 10, and 11, 2023 at Oahe Downstream # 3 Campground. It was a great success with very good attendance. Thank you all for attending and for all the help that the volunteers provided. The 2024 derby will be held on June 7th, 8th, and 9th. We will have the Thursday night brat feed, the Friday night fish fry and the Saturday night steak feed. We look forward to seeing everyone again at the 49th annual derby in 2024.

47th Annual IBEW Fishing Derby

47th Annual IBEW Fishing Derby

The Annual IBEW Fishing Derby will take place on June 10th, 11th and 12th, at Oahe Downstream Campground # 3. The derby will kick off on Friday, June 10th with registration starting at 4:00 pm and a fish fry and refreshments following. The fishing derby starts Saturday and runs through noon CDT on Sunday with the single largest walleye winning the derby. Walleye's may be weighed in starting at 5:00 pm Saturday and up to 12:00 noon CDT on Sunday.

Saturday night will feature the steak feed, potato and Steve Millers famous beans at the southeast picnic shelter in campground # 3. Grills will be hot from 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm. We will shut the shelter down at 9:00 pm.

Sunday will have a short social at the shelter to award the prizes for the fishing derby and hand out door prizes to participants. Remember, you must be an IBEW member or retiree to win the tournament or the door prizes.

Registration is $50.00 each including guests. You can call IBEW Local 1250 at 605-343-0954 to get a registration form.

	Local 1250 Scholarship
	The annual Local 1250 scholarship was awarded to Erin Heisinger, son of BHE Lineman Chris Heisinger. Erin plans on attending Mitchell VO-Tech. The scholarship is for the $350.00. Congradulations to Erin and best luck on his future endevers.

Fridays: 8:00 am to 12:00 noon
