2020 FISHING DERBY
The annual IBEW Fishing Derby will be held on June 5, 6, and 7 this year at Oahe Downstream # 3 Campground. We will again have a brat feed Thursday night, fish fry Friday night and a steak feed Saturday night. If you want a 45th annual fishing derby t-shirt, you need to order and pay for one prior to April 10th. Door prizes and derby winners announced on Sunday. Call 605-343-0954 for a entry form.

General Membership Meeting

The General Membership meeting for April 1, 2020 has been cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic and to comply with recommendations of the CDC. We will continue to monitor this outbreak over the next several weeks before the May General Membership meeting and will keep you informed on wether the May meeting will be cancelled or not.

The Families First Coronavirus Recovery Act (FFCRA) extends to postal employees some additional leave benefits due to the Coronavirus and the illness it causes--COVID-19. APWU represented employees, both career and non-career, are entitled to the leave provisions enacted by the FFCRA. Two new leave types are now extended to postal employees.

After courageously battling his illness, we are deeply saddened and mourn the loss of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union 21 Chief Steward, our Brother Michael Andel. After hearing of our Brother’s passing, Local 21 President - Business Manager Paul Wright said, “Mike was a friend and a loyal, trusted, and passionate fighter for all of us in Local 21. He became a Union Steward at the age of 23 and I was proud to appoint Mike as a Chief Steward. Mike rose to the occasion and always carried that same passion and energy while doing his job despite his personal battle right on through the last few weeks of his life.” Our thoughts and prayers are with our Brother's family, friends and coworkers. IBEW Local 1250 Office Hours are:

Monday to Thursday: 8:00 am to 12:00 noon

1:00 pm to 5:00 pm

Fridays: 8:00 am to 12:00 noon

1:00 pm to 4:30 pm.

LOCAL 1250 JOB CALLS

 We currently have no calls for journeyman wireman or apprentices, but we anticipate that we will have calls for Decker Electric soon. We have one call for a 1st step installer for Amick Sound to start immediately.
